This week on Trapping Across America we are talking about how guys that only get to trap before or after work can trap and catch more fur with the time they have. My best advice is to follow a progressive trap line format. Then have standard equipment and standard and quick sets and stay focused on the progressive trap line system. Time or lack of it is the enemy on a short trap line before work. You only have so much time to trap once you include, driving, talking with landowners, open gates, load and upload gear and deal with caught animals. If you want to catch more fur on a short trap line, get a plan and then work that plan with the limited time you have. if you are one of the fur warriors that have to run your lines around work, I hope this helps you out.

I was wondering if you can profit from trapping, I have been told
it would be a waste of time, so I was needing some advice from a professional
    trapper.

    Thank you,

Like most things in life it depends on the effort one puts into it. I have made over $30,000 in a month and know of fur trappers that have made over a $100,000 in a season in the last few years. Does everyone make money trapping, but its the same in any activity and industry. The guys that make money work at it harder than most would evey work in a job.
